This

“Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.”

Life + balance + purpose

Dear myself and myself,

As you know already from my previous posts, once you come here, you will either be bored shitless or your brain will hurt like shit from too much thinking. My blogs have a psychological, philosophical, spiritual approach so if you don't like it, you know what to do. If you choose to stay and read, you will be enlightened I hope.
I will help you open your eyes and change your view on the world. -by

What is the objective in living? Does anyone actually have a definite answer to this question? Why do some people live? Why do some choose to die?

Many people live just for the sake of living such as myself. I live by the day, not from the past, not for the future. I do however, learn from the past and look forward to the future. Some people live so they can find the purpose of life by seeking for answers and exploring the unknown. Some people believe that money is life. On the other hand, some people believe that recognition, respect, and social status is the purpose of life. Some people believe that science and religion are the main factors in our life. Everyone has their own opinion about the world and that is only natural because no one should be the same. Everyone has his or her own answer. Our world only exists because everyone is different. Therefore, violent, sneaky, unfaithful, kind, helpful, strong, weak, funny, mean, honest, cruel, gullible, intelligent and dumb people must exist on this physical plane. The world will come to an end when everyone in the world becomes wholeheartedly "good". The balance will be off since the world will be complete when we all become "one". If you're naturally bad, be bad. If you're naturally good, be good. If you're good and bad then stick to it, don't change it. If you are willing to change and have a desire to change then change!. As long as you are honest with yourself and do not follow the steps of anyone, you will eventually see the answer(as long as you do not harm people in doing so). So in the mean time, just live and see the world for yourself. Climb as high as you can, sink as low as you will. At the end of your journey, you will learn new things not because of where you went but because you chose to live without any restrictions.

Breathe, sleep, eat, laugh, cry, smile, frown, dream, feel, touch, love, hate... live :)

Part 2 of last post. why so shallow?

A person is judged based on their style, interests/hobbies, looks, how big their TV is, what car they own, who their friends are, and their occupation. But one big thing is overlooked always and that is a person's personality/individuality. Do not stereotype a person based on looks/what they do but do judge a person based on their thinking/personality. A person driving a nice car does not necessarily mean that they are baller, it might just mean that the person is good at saving money or perhaps the car is on lease. A nice person who helps others all the time may be indeed hoping for a reward at some point. A liar may be a person who sacrifices his pride/dignity in order to protect someone's secret. A person who dresses very punk may be the smartest kid in class. A person who plays video games online all the time may be in fact a gangster killing time. A person who hangs out with sluts, whores, bitches may be a slut/whore herself(joking) but she may be the sweetest/nicest person you'll ever meet. A jackass who treats girls like shit is a jackass(girls love jackasses though. am I a jackass? hmmm).

If you haven't already gotten the message yet then let me tell you that there are more than one side of every story. Do not overlook small details in life because you will be missing out on a lot. Your eyes are deceiving your judgmental skills, while the media is helping you become a blinded fool with only one perspective about others. This my be the corniest thing I'll ever say but, "close your eyes and listen to yourself, other's opinions do not matter as much as your own". Conform to another person's opinion as little as possible and become a strong individual. If you need advice, be thankful for the suggestions but come up with your own solution.

If you have the opportunity to travel then travel travel travel because you will meet so many different people who act differently than where you are from. And not just sightseeing, visiting nice places, but actually living there. You learn so much from the people you meet. If you don't have the opportunity to travel, then try to meet people outside of your circle of friends because they will broaden your perspective about the world. After you have been to many places/interacted with all kinds of people, you start to get a general idea of the "absolute world truth". You gain some sort of new skill where after just meeting new people and talking to them, you know what type of person they are and this is different than stereotyping because you are thoroughly communicating/understanding a person instead of just jump to conclusions and associate this person to a certain stereotype. The skill to understand or see through bullshit in meditation is something called the "third eye" or "insight".

Materialistic, Ignorant & Shallow World

Yes, that is our world that we live in. The media, newspapers, magazines, TV shows are definitely influencing a vast majority of the world right now. It is not wrong to watch or read these things because I do too. However, never forget that some if not all of these events are forged and fake and/or exaggerated. Of course, the media wants to hype things up and exaggerate a TV series or a current event because the more viewers that they have, the more money they earn. Great world right? The concept is simple: Media(Fisherman+Bait)+average humans(the dumb fish)=happy fisherman. Humans are the best dreamers after all and they constantly love to reference their life with the news, magazines, TV shows and etc. The media is like a poison spreading through all of us.

People judge each other the moment that they meet or hear about so and so from another person. Just because a person looks a certain way, it is not fair to assume or associate that person to a stereotype until you meet that person and have talked to him or her before. Why agree on the words or rumors of another person and then jump to conclusions until you find out personally whether the rumor or gossip was true or not? Just analyze using your instincts carefully and seek for a definite answer, because that is the most simplest solution ever. I've heard of too many groups, relationships and personally been hurt before because of rumors spreading by good talkers deceiving less intelligent people. A lot of victims have been hurt because people have been way too gullible! I'm not saying I am or not intelligent now, I am just saying that I know gullible people or knew of them before who have been tricked and made them in believing something actually happened: False memory creation. Gullible people have such great imagination(not compliment) that when an event is told to them, they would believe it and lock it in their minds as if the event happened even though realistically the memory was forged by a good talker.

It is a GOOD thing to be conscious, GOOD thing to doubt, GOOD thing to not believe a person who seems like a "nice person", GOOD thing to keep thinking and analyzing. Eventually you will easily be able to differentiate fake and real, positive and negative.

No bullshit.

Hello, okay so I will try not to be the typical asian guy who blogs about his girlfriend, his new phone, his new gundam model and shit. Sorry for the previous post which was kind of like that(which was deleted).

Anyway, I was in Shanghai/Suzhou/Hong Kong/Macau/Cheung Chau for the last few months so Blogger was blocked by China and by the time I was in Hong Kong area, I was busy with shopping and catching up with friends. Life in Asia is sweet as fuck given that you save up money in North America and don't blow your money on expensive brands and stuff. You feel like a king walking the streets of China and everywhere is all you can eat/buy. A bowl of noodles/rice for less than 50cents Cdn, so why not? I did manage to go to the Shanghai Expo and people are rude there as you probably would've heard by others already. They will crawl underneath the line up fences and budge infront of others when the workers aren't looking and shove their way through. Other than the rude people in Shanghai, it was an enjoyable place to live and I had a great time. I will definitely go back again, perhaps with a girl(I wish). So many nice romantic places to go hahaha. I did not buy any clothes from Shanghai at all, just not my style. I did however, buy so much in Hong Kong that both my luggages were 5kg overweight.

Just want to say that I am back in Vancouver now but I will be going to Japan for 4months-year next month. I am pursuing my dream to become a translator in Asia. If that doesn't follow through, I will study real estate since the area where I live in has a vast amount of Asians and knowing many Asian languages + my charming personality(coughhh) will put me at an advantage over others.

Tune in for next post where we will get back on track. This was just a short update about Beryu's life.

If you are a westerner or a person raised in a westernized country then you wouldn't know how fortunate you are until you visit asia. People in asia are workaholics and there is no room for slack. Day in and day out, people worry about losing their jobs because the competition here is really tough. Even if you have a job, you are constantly in fear of losing it and even one complaint from a higher up can cause you to lose that job. And if you don't have a job, the word freedom or expression would never exist in your life. You can work at a semi-decent job in Hong Kong, but even so the pay isn't so great. 10-12$/hr cdn is relatively "Baller-ish" for bank jobs and business-related jobs. There are people working in places like McDonalds and other fastfood restaurants earning like 2~3$/hr cdn. These aren't part time jobs either, they are mostly full-time jobs because I see the same people day in and day out. I see many people around my age or younger in the working force already and I always constantly compare myself to them; I am fortunate to have education and freedom. To rent an apartment for a month costs 700cdn+/month for a shitty/crap ish one in HK, so living alone and having those low end jobs is really fucking hard if not almost impossible to pay for rent.

In Canada, you can work at a low end job which is 8~10$/hr which will net you 1280-1600$ a month, and you can find a place to rent for 700ish and probably 100bucks for gas, 100-200$ for food and then the rest is savings/spending money. Obviously it ain't enough to start a family with but its enough to get by for your humble self. If you find a roommate, you can be wearing decent clothes and look fairly fresh!

Now lets compare, low end jobs in Hong Kong get 480$ or less CDN a month, rents cost 700CDN+ for apartments. Okay so you found a roommate to cramp into your closet-like apartment so rent costs 350$. You have 130$ left. There is food and transportation to consider. 40~60 bux for transportation alone. Next for food 70-90$ left... you eat what you want.

A. You could eat out for 10-12$CDN a day which is.. 280~$CDN a month. negative 210~$CDN. fml much?
B. You could eat healthy with udon, rice, vegetables, eggs, meat, fish at home for 100~$CDN a month which you would have no money left so fml moment. cuz you can't buy shit to keep yourself presentable to the public aka daily necessities, clothes, shoes, hair cuts, fruits, vitamins, medicine etc etc.
C. Last resort: Eat instant noodles+egg for breakfast, lunch, dinner will cost you 50~CDN/month which will cause your health to deteriate greatly. You have a little bit of money to spend now .. hurray. . . .? no. it is fml your body is not gettin proper nutrients which consequently will lead to a fml moment.

The world in busy asia is obviously revolved around money and the higher ups are pulling the strings. Everyone else below these rich people are their puppets. I constantly feel bad for all these workers with eye bags under their eyes and eating superfast for their lunch breaks, and along with all that, they have to have super good manner to all customers to ensure their spot in the company/job. Now I wonder besides working, do these people have a healthy lifestyle outside of work?

Why did I type so much? No one knows. There is more actually but I am forced to sleep.
