A person is judged based on their style, interests/hobbies, looks, how big their TV is, what car they own, who their friends are, and their occupation. But one big thing is overlooked always and that is a person's personality/individuality. Do not stereotype a person based on looks/what they do but do judge a person based on their thinking/personality. A person driving a nice car does not necessarily mean that they are baller, it might just mean that the person is good at saving money or perhaps the car is on lease. A nice person who helps others all the time may be indeed hoping for a reward at some point. A liar may be a person who sacrifices his pride/dignity in order to protect someone's secret. A person who dresses very punk may be the smartest kid in class. A person who plays video games online all the time may be in fact a gangster killing time. A person who hangs out with sluts, whores, bitches may be a slut/whore herself(joking) but she may be the sweetest/nicest person you'll ever meet. A jackass who treats girls like shit is a jackass(girls love jackasses though. am I a jackass? hmmm).
If you haven't already gotten the message yet then let me tell you that there are more than one side of every story. Do not overlook small details in life because you will be missing out on a lot. Your eyes are deceiving your judgmental skills, while the media is helping you become a blinded fool with only one perspective about others. This my be the corniest thing I'll ever say but, "close your eyes and listen to yourself, other's opinions do not matter as much as your own". Conform to another person's opinion as little as possible and become a strong individual. If you need advice, be thankful for the suggestions but come up with your own solution.
If you have the opportunity to travel then travel travel travel because you will meet so many different people who act differently than where you are from. And not just sightseeing, visiting nice places, but actually living there. You learn so much from the people you meet. If you don't have the opportunity to travel, then try to meet people outside of your circle of friends because they will broaden your perspective about the world. After you have been to many places/interacted with all kinds of people, you start to get a general idea of the "absolute world truth". You gain some sort of new skill where after just meeting new people and talking to them, you know what type of person they are and this is different than stereotyping because you are thoroughly communicating/understanding a person instead of just jump to conclusions and associate this person to a certain stereotype. The skill to understand or see through bullshit in meditation is something called the "third eye" or "insight".
What you said i believe its just a small portion of what is the real truth in this world. This world itself is built upon a lie. Everyone is so wrapped up on their materialistic values that they don't even remember what this world should be really about. Whoever has the greatest deception will win in this world. Deception may not be a lie, but how their they package themselves to show what kind of a person they want to be perceived as. Much like the various examples you've given, its a matter of who can pull off the best bluff. A person who acts weak infront of someone powerful, may in fact be sucking up his own pride for the right time to strike. Just because he looks like a nerd or weak doesnt necessarily mean they should be picked on.
ReplyDeleteWell maybe i should reword this a little. Point is don't get too caught up in yourself and your own little world. Once u loose sight of what this world is about, you won't know till it hits you int he face. Step back every once in a while and take a look at the bigger picture. Many people always think they are in control of this in control of that, but reality is are you really in control? Or are you being led and fed into this conclusion? (little bit of inception there)
Yay 2nd comment. :)
ReplyDeleteLying is not always a bad thing because others only perceive of what you are on the surface and judge you right away. If I say I killed a person before, no one would want to be my friend right? Without hearing the whole story, people love to judge each other with so little information available. People lack courage and insight to see through the vast amount of bullshit out there. Many people are unwillingly to spend the extra effort to see through the lie and see what type of person an individual really is. And I know that I don't own anything in this world, but I do own myself. Are you saying that I don't even own myself? I am in control of my lifestyle and if there are complications, I will work hard to overcome it because that's the purpose of life right?
